The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
