The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the messengers: 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 They carved out dwellings in the mountains, and lived in security -- 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-creator, the All-knowing. 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 So, by your Lord (O Muhammad SAW), We shall certainly call all of them to account. 92 As to what they did. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 Those who ascribe another God along with Allah; so they will soon come to know. 96 We know indeed thy breast is straitened by the things they say. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death). 99
