So exhort (them, O Prophet), for by your Lord's Grace, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 29 Or do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time?" 30 Tell them: “Wait; I too am waiting with you.” 31 Or do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people? 32 Or do they say: "He himself has composed this [message]"? Nay, but they are not willing to believe! 33 So let them bring a discourse like it, if they are truthful 34 Have they not been created by aught, or are they the creators? 35 Did they create the heavens and the earth? No! They have no faith. 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord? Have they any authority over God? 37 Or have they a ladder whereon they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Has (God) daughters and they sons? 39 Or do you ask them for a reward, so that they are overburdened by a debt? 40 Or is it that they have access to (the Truths in) the realm beyond sense-perception which they are writing down? 41 Or do they intend a plan? But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan. 42 Or do they have a God besides Allah? Purity is to Allah from their ascribing of partners to Him. 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 Hence, leave them alone until they face that [Judgment] Day of theirs, when they will be stricken with terror: 45 A Day whereon their plotting will avail them not at all, nor will they be succoured. 46 And there surely awaits the evildoers a chastisement beyond even that, but most of them know it not. 47 Wait patiently for the command of your Lord. We are watching over you. Glorify your Lord when you rise during the night 48 and proclaim the praise of thy Lord in the night, and at the declining of the stars. 49
