▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But such as fears the Station of his Lord, for them shall be two gardens -- 46 (jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 47 [There will be two gardens with] spreading branches. 48 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 49 Therein are two running fountains. 50 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 51 therein of every fruit two kinds -- 52 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 53 They will recline upon carpets lined with rich brocade; and the fruits of both these gardens will be within easy reach. 54 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 55 In them will be (Maidens), chaste, restraining their glances, whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;- 56 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 57 As though they are jacinth and coral. 58 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 59 Can the reward of goodness be any other than goodness? 60 Which of the laudable attributes of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 61 And besides these shall be two gardens -- 62 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 63 Of darkest verdant green -- 64 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 65 In these there will also be two springs gushing forth. 66 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 67 In which will be the fruit, date-palms and pomegranates. 68 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 69 Therein (gardens) will be fair (wives) good and beautiful; 70 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 71 [There the blest will live with their] companions pure and modest, in pavilions [splendid] 72 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 73 There hath deflowered them neither man nor jinn. 74 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and rich carpets excellent. 76 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 77 Blest be the name of thine Lord, Owner Of Majesty and Beneficence! 78
