Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 The honourable recorders. 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 to burn therein. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
