The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
