The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
