BUT NAY! I call to witness all that you can see, 38 And what ye see not, 39 That this is verily the word of an honoured Messenger [i.e. Jibrael (Gabriel) or Muhammad SAW which he has brought from Allah]. 40 And it is not the word of a poet; little is it that you believe; 41 Nor is it the speech of a sooth-sayer. Little are ye admonished. 42 It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 43 And if he (Muhammad SAW) had forged a false saying concerning Us (Allah), 44 We would certainly have seized him by the right hand, 45 and then severed his life vein; 46 And not one of you would have withheld us from punishing him. 47 And verily, this [Qur'an] is a reminder to all the God-conscious! 48 We know that there are some among you who will belie. 49 And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers. 50 And verily it is the truth of assured certainty. 51 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Almighty. 52
