The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 who give charity, 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
