And a sign to them is the dead earth: We give life to it and bring forth from it grain so they eat of it. 33 We have placed in it gardens of date palms and vines, and caused springs to gush [forth] from it, 34 so that they may eat of the fruit thereof, though it was not their hands that made it. Will they not, then, be grateful? 35 Glory be to Him, who created all the pairs of what the earth produces, and of themselves, and of what they know not. 36 And a sign for them is the night. We remove from it [the light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness. 37 And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 38 And We have appointed positions for the moon till it returns like an old branch of the date palm. 39 It is not for the sun to catch up with the moon, nor does the night surpass the day; and each one of them floats in its orbit. 40 Another sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark. 41 And We have created for them the like of it, what they will ride on. 42 And if We list, We shall drown them, and there will be no shout for them, nor will they be saved. 43 Unless by Our benevolence, to reap advantage for a time. 44 But when it is said to them, "Beware of what is before you and what is behind you; perhaps you will receive mercy... " 45 And never came an Ayah from among the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it. 46 and when they are told, "Give to others out of what God has provided for you," those who are bent on denying the truth say to the believers, "Why should we feed those whom God could feed if He wanted? You are clearly in error!" 47 And they say: When will this promise be fulfilled, if ye are truthful? 48 They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing. 49 Then they will not be able to make a will or return to their families. 50
