Al-Shooraa 4 of 5
Whatever misfortune happens to you, is because on the things your hands have wrought, and for many (of them) He grants forgiveness. 30 Nor can ye frustrate (aught), (fleeing) through the earth; nor have ye, besides Allah, any one to protect or to help. 31 And among His signs are the ships in the sea like mountains. 32 He could stop the wind if He pleased, then they would be stranded on its surface. Surely there are signs in this for every one who perseveres and is grateful. 33 Or He may destroy them because of that which they have earned, and He may pardon many of them. 34 But let those know, who dispute about Our Signs, that there is for them no way of escape. 35 That which you have been given is but the enjoyment of the present life. Better and more enduring is that which Allah has for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord. 36 who refrain from heinous sins and gross indecencies; who forgive when they are angry; 37 those who answer their Lord, establish the prayers, and their affairs are by consultation; who spend of that which We have given them, 38 And those who, when tyranny strikes them, they defend themselves, 39 The retribution of a harmful deed is the harm equal to it; so whoever forgives and makes amends, so his reward is upon Allah; indeed He does not befriend the unjust. 40 There is no blame against him who avenges himself after he has been wronged. 41 Only those who do injustice to people and commit rebellion on earth for no reason will be questioned. They will suffer a painful torment. 42 But he who bears with patience and forgives, surely complies with divine resolve. 43

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
