Have you seen the one who turned away 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 Thamud, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
