Seest thou not that We have set the devils on the disbelievers to confound them with confusion? 83 So hasten thou not against them; We are only numbering for them a number. 84 The day We shall gather the righteous to (Allah) Most Gracious, like a band presented before a king for honours, 85 And drive the guilty unto hell, a weary herd, 86 They shall not own intercession, excepting those who have taken of the Compassionate a covenant. 87 And they say: the Compassionate hath taken a son. 88 Indeed, [by this assertion] you have brought forth something monstrous, 89 The heavens may almost be rent thereat, and the earth cleave asunder, and the mountains fall down in pieces, 90 That ye ascribe unto the Beneficent a son, 91 although it is inconceivable that the Most Gracious should take unto Himself a son! 92 There is no one in the heavens and the earth but comes before Ar-Rahman in all obedience. 93 Assuredly He hath comprehended them and counted them a full counting. 94 Every one of them will come before Him all alone on the Day of Resurrection. 95 The Lord of Mercy will bestow affection upon those who believe and perform righteous deeds. 96 And We make (this Scripture) easy in thy tongue, (O Muhammad) only that thou mayst bear good tidings therewith unto those who ward off (evil), and warn therewith the froward folk. 97 And many a generation We did destroy before them; do you see any one of them or hear their faintest sound? 98
