Hizb 46

Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 You and whatever you worship 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 They used to say: 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 LIMITLESS in His glory is thy Sustainer, the Lord of almightiness, [exalted] above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
