The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 who determined and guided, 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
