And (remember) when your Lord called Musa (Moses) (saying): "Go to the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing), 10 “The nation of Firaun; will they not fear?” 11 He answered: "O my Sustainer! Behold, I fear that they will give me the lie, 12 "My breast will be straitened. And my speech may not go (smoothly): so send unto Aaron. 13 They hold a sin against me, and I fear that they will kill me' 14 God said, "Indeed not; go both of you with Our signs, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]. 15 Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds, 16 "'Send thou with us the Children of Israel.'" 17 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said [to Musa (Moses)]: "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you did dwell many years of your life with us. 18 "And you did your deed, which you did (i.e. the crime of killing a man). And you are one of the ingrates." 19 (Moses) replied: "I did do that and I was in the wrong, 20 Then I fled for fear of you. Then my Lord bestowed wisdom and authority on me and made me one of the Messengers. 21 Now this is the favour that you tauntingly remind me of: that you enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 The Pharaoh asked, "Who is the Lord of the Universe?" 23 Moses replied, "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you want to be certain". 24 Said he to those about him, 'Do you not hear?' 25 He said: your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers. 26 Pharaoh said, "This messenger who has been sent to you is surely possessed!" 27 He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” 28 Said he: If you will take a god besides me, I will most certainly make you one of the imprisoned. 29 Musa (Moses) said: "Even if I bring you something manifest (and convincing)?" 30 Said Firaun, “Then bring it, if you are of the truthful.” 31 So [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it appeared white to the onlookers. 33

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
