And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
