The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 in towering columns. 9
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
