The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh said unto them: fear ye not? 106 I am for you an honest Messenger, 107 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 108 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Should we place our trust in you when only the condemned follow you?" 111 He said: I have no knowledge of that which they have been Working. 112 Their account falls only upon My Lord, if you were but aware. 113 "I am not one to drive away those who believe. 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 He said: "O my Lord! truly my people have rejected me. 117 So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And indeed your Lord, only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
