The unbelievers say: 'When we and our fathers are turned to dust, shall we be brought forth? 67 We and our fathers were promised this before; these are but old stories." 68 Say: "Go about through the earth and see what has been the end of the evil-doers." 69 And grieve thou not over them nor be straitened because of that which they plot. 70 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?” 71 Say, “It could be that a part of what you are impatient for is (already) after you.” 72 And surely your Lord is the Lord of grace to men, but most of them are not grateful. 73 And indeed, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they declare. 74 There is not a thing hidden in the heaven and earth except that it is in a Clear Book. 75 Lo! this Qur'an narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they differ. 76 And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. 77 Surely your Lord will judge between them by his judgment, and He is the Mighty, the knowing. 78 Therefore rely on Allah; you are indeed upon the clear Truth. 79 Verily thou canst not make the dead hear, nor canst thou make the deaf hear the call when they flee turning their backs. 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ And when the word shall come to be fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth speaking unto them, that the people have not of Our signs been convinced. 82
