And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment. 41 [So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink." 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it – as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 44 And remember Our bondmen Ibrahim, and Ishaq, and Yaqub – the men of power and knowledge. 45 Verily We! We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Abode. 46 They were, in Our sight, truly, of the company of the Elect and the Good. 47 And remember Isma'il and Al-Yas'a and Zul-kifl; all of the excellent ones. 48 This is a Remembrance; and for the godfearing is a fair resort, 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are open to them, 50 Wherein, reclining, they call for plenteous fruit and cool drink (that is) therein. 51 ۞ And with them are the pure spouses, who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, of single age. 52 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning: 53 (It will be said to them)! Verily, this is Our Provision which will never finish; 54 Yea, such! but - for the wrong-doers will be an evil place of (Final) Return!- 55 They shall roast in (the Fire) of Gehenna, an evil cradling. 56 (They will be told), "This is your recompense. 57 And other similar torments. 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 They will say, "Nor you! No welcome for you. You, [our leaders], brought this upon us, and wretched is the settlement." 60 They say, 'Our Lord, whoso forwarded this for us, give him a double chastisement in the Fire!' 61 But why is it that we cannot see men whom we had considered as wicked 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 Such disputes will certainly take place among the dwellers of hell fire. 64
