The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
