Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
