And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. 17 Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]. 18 And the hardship of death came with the truth; “This is what you were escaping from!” 19 And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day. 20 Everyone has come, each attended by one who will drive him on, and another who will bear witness. 21 You were heedless of this. Now We have removed your veil and so your vision today is sharp. 22 And his accompanying angel said, “This is the record of your deeds, available with me.” 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 “The one who appointed another God along with Allah – so both of you fling him into the severe punishment.” 26 ۞ His companion will say: Our Lord! I did not lead him into inordinacy but he himself was in a great error. 27 Allah will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already, in advance, sent you the threat. 28 The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves. 29
