Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth). 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
