Nay, and by the moon, 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 it is a warning to man, 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
Almighty God's Truth.
