▼ 8 The Spoils of War
Al-Anfaal 8 of 10

Let not the deniers think that they will ever get away. They cannot frustrate [God's purpose]. They have not the power to do so. 59 Make ready for them whatever force and strings of horses you can, to terrify thereby the enemy of God and your enemy, and others besides them that you know not; God knows them. And whatsoever you expend in the way of God shall be repaid you in full; you will not be wronged. 60 ۞ But if they are inclined to peace, make peace with them, and have trust in God, for He hears all and knows everything. 61 And if they wish to deceive you, then indeed Allah is Sufficient for you; it is He Who has given you strength, with His help and with the Muslims. 62 And (as for the believers) hath attuned their hearts. If thou hadst spent all that is in the earth thou couldst not have attuned their hearts, but Allah hath attuned them. Lo! He is Mighty, Wise. 63 O Prophet! Allah is sufficient for you and (for) such of the believers as follow you. 64
