Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 The honest Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down 193 to your heart that you might become one of those who warn (others on behalf of Allah), 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 they will not believe in it till they behold the grievous suffering 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 Therefore observe, that if We give them some comforts for some years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 What shall that which they enjoyed avail them? 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 And [this divine writ is such a reminder:] no evil spirits have brought it down: 210 Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it). 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 If they disobey you, say, "I bear no responsibility for what you do." 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 [And] shall I tell you upon whom it is that those evil spirits descend? 221 They descend on every sinful, false one. 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, 225 and they say what they do not do? 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
