Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 that after we die and become dust, we shall be brought back to life again. This seems far from reality". 3 (Thus do they imagine, although) We know well what the earth takes away from them. With Us is a Record that preserves everything. 4 But they deny the Truth when it comes to them: so they are in a confused state. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? 7 Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah]. 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 And high date-palms with lush fruit. 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 Before them, the nation of Noah, the nation of ArRass belied and so did Thamood 12 and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 So did We tire by creating the first time? Rather they doubt being created again. 15
