The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Beneficent Allah, 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He created man, 3 and taught him its pronunciation. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 Therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths, 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He has created man from dry, rotten clay like the potter's, 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. 19 and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
