The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the Terror descends 1 There is no denying that it will befall - 2 Degrading (some) and exalting (others); 3 When the earth is violently shaken 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 So that they will become floating dust particles. 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 Those on the Right -- how blessed are those on the Right! 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 and the Outstrippers: the Outstrippers 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 in the Gardens of Delight 12 a host of the ancients 13 and a lesser number from the later generations. 14 Seated on couches wrought in gold and encrusted with precious stones, 15 facing one another. 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 with goblets and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 Like pearls within their shells, 23 [And this will be] a reward for what they did [in life]. 24 There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination 25 All talk will be sound and upright. 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 and serried acacias, 29 And shade extended 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 and abundant fruits, 32 never-failing and never out of reach. 33 And carpets raised. 34 and their spouses We shall have brought them into being afresh, 35 We have made them virgins, 36 Loving, of equal age. 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
