Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
