Say: "Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the one Allah, Supreme and Irresistible,- 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, the Mighty, the Forgiver. 66 Say, "It is great news 67 "From which ye do turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the High Assembly's dispute. 69 had it not been revealed unto me [by God] - to no other end than that I might convey [unto you] a plain warning. 70 When your Lord told the angels, "I will create a mortal out of clay, 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed My spirit into him, prostrate yourselves before him." 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 73 except Iblis who puffed himself up with pride and became a disbeliever. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 (Iblis) said: "I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay." 76 [Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled. 77 And verily My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Requital, 78 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected." 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 for an appointed time". 81 He said: Then by Thy Might I will surely make them live an evil life, all, 82 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 83 Said He, 'This is the truth, and the truth I say; 84 That I shall fill Hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together. 85 Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur'an), nor am I a pretender. 86 This is only a warning for mankind. 87 and you will most certainly grasp its purport after a lapse of time!" 88
