Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Have We not opened forth for thee thy breast? 1 And eased thee of the burden 2 that had well-nigh broken your back? 3 And did We not exalt your fame? 4 After every difficulty there is relief. 5 Lo! with hardship goeth ease; 6 So when you have finished (from your occupation), then stand up for Allah's worship (i.e. stand up for prayer). 7 and let your longing be for your Lord (in humility). 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
