The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 Who guard their sex 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And those who of their prayers are observant. 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 And indeed, We have created above you seven [celestial] orbits: and never are We unmindful of [any aspect of Our] creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
