Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
