Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
