The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the messengers: 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 And what they earned did not avail them. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Surat Al-Fatiha) and the Grand Quran. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 Even as We sent down on the dividers 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 Them, by thy Lord, We shall question, every one, 92 As to what they did. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death). 99
