The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ A. L. M. 1 Defeated have been the Byzantines 2 (within a few years) they will be victorious. 3 Within a few years. With Allah is the Decision, in the past and in the Future: on that Day shall the Believers rejoice- 4 in God's help; God helps whomsoever He will; and He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 5 This is Allah's promise and He does not go back on His promise. But most people do not know. 6 They know but the outer (things) in the life of this world: but of the End of things they are heedless. 7 Do they not reflect in their own minds? Not but for just ends and for a term appointed, did Allah create the heavens and the earth, and all between them: yet are there truly many among men who deny the meeting with their Lord (at the Resurrection)! 8 Have they not travelled in the earth and seen how was the end of those before them? They were stronger than these in prowess, and dug up the earth, and built on it in greater abundance than these have built on it, and there came to them their apostles with clear arguments; so it was not beseeming for Allah that He should deal with them unjustly, but they dealt unjustly with their own souls. 9 Then the end of those who committed evil was evil, for they belied the signs of God, and they derided them. 10
