The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the midday brightness 1 and by the calm of night, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
