Say thou: who guardeth you by night and by day from the Compassionate? Yet from the remembrance of their Lord they avert themselves! 42 Or have they gods to defend them, other than Us? Indeed, they are unable to help themselves, neither shall they be guarded in safety from Us. 43 But, [on the contrary], We have provided good things for these [disbelievers] and their fathers until life was prolonged for them. Then do they not see that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders? So it is they who will overcome? 44 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) “I warn you only with the divine revelation; and the deaf do not hear the call when warned.” 45 If but a breath of thy Lord's chastisement touched them, they would surely say, 'Alas for us! We were evildoers.' 46 We shall set up scales of justice for the Day of Judgment, so that not a soul will be dealt with unjustly in the least, and if there be (no more than) the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it (to account): and enough are We to take account. 47 And certainly We gave to Musa and Haroun the Furqan and a light and a reminder for those who would guard (against evil). 48 Those who fear their Lord in their most secret thoughts, and who hold the Hour (of Judgment) in awe. 49 And this is a blessed reminder that We have sent down. Will you then deny it? 50
