Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
