Al-Hijjr 4 of 6
VERILY, those who are conscious of God [shall find themselves in the hereafter] amidst gardens and springs, 45 They will be told: "Enter it in peace and security." 46 And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment, [so they will be] brothers, on thrones facing each other. 47 Toil shall not afflict them in it, nor shall they be ever ejected from it. 48 ۞ (O Prophet), declare to My servants that I am indeed Ever Forgiving, Most Merciful. 49 And that My punishment-- that is the painful punishment. 50 And inform them of the guests of Ibrahim: 51 when they came to him they greeted him with: "Peace." He said,"We feel afraid of you." 52 They said: "Do not feel afraid, for we give you the good news of a wise boy." 53 He said, "Have you given me good tidings although old age has come upon me? Then of what [wonder] do you inform?" 54 They said: We bring thee good tidings in truth. So be not thou of the despairing. 55 He said, "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except for those astray?" 56 He said, 'And what is your business, envoys?' 57 They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals, 58 Except Lut's followers: We will most surely deliver them all, 59 "Except his wife, of whom We have decreed that she shall be of those who remain behind (i.e. she will be destroyed)." 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
