Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
