Al-Hijjr 2 of 6
It is We Who have set out the zodiacal signs in the heavens, and made them fair-seeming to (all) beholders; 16 And We have protected it from every devil expelled [from the mercy of Allah] 17 Except one who steals a hearing and is pursued by a clear burning flame. 18 And the earth-- We have spread it forth and made in it firm mountains and caused to grow in it of every suitable thing. 19 and provided thereon means of livelihood for you [O men] as well as for all [living beings] whose sustenance does not depend on you. 20 And there is not a thing but with Us are the stores thereof. And we send it not down save in appointed measure. 21 We send rain-impregnated winds, and water from the sky which you drink, but you are not the keepers of its store. 22 It is We who give life and We who give death, and We are the One who will abide. 23 And assuredly We know those of you who have gone before and those who will come hereafter. 24 And verily thy Lord! He will gather them, and verily He is Wise, Knowing. 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
