Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 and the burden-bearers 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 And also in your own selves. Behold ye not? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
