Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 And when the seas rise, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 The closing night, 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
