The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? You are a people who transgress all bounds." 166 They said, "If you do not desist, Lot, you will surely be banished." 167 He said: Surely I am of those who utterly abhor your doing; 168 My Lord, save me and my family from their evil doings." 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. 173 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 175
