۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 that this is indeed a noble Quran, 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 Which none toucheth save the purified, 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem? 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 Then why do you not (intervene) when (the soul of a dying person) reaches the throat? 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 If you are true to your claim that there is no Day of Judgment, 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 So if he is one of those who are near-stationed (to Allah), 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if he is of those on the right hand, 90 (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 91 If it is of those who have rejected the Truth and have gone astray, 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
