Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Resurrection Verifier; 1 What is the Sure Reality? 2 What makes you to know what the Resurrection Verifier is? 3 Samood and Ad called the striking calamity a lie. 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the lightning. 5 And as for 'Aad they were destroyed by a wind, furious, roaring. 6 which continued to strike them for seven nights and eight days so that eventually you could see the people lying dead like the hollow trunks of uprooted palm-trees. 7 Then do you see of them any remains? 8 And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin. 9 And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, therefor did He grip them with a tightening grip. 10 But We bore you away in the Ark, when the waters rose high, 11 In order to make it a remembrance for you, and in order that the ears that store may remember. 12 With the first blast of sound from the trumpet, 13 and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and crushed with a single blow, 14 Then on that Day shall happen the Event. 15 And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm. 16 And the angels will be on its sides, and eight angels will, that Day, bear the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 On that Day you shall be brought to judgment: not [even] the most hidden of your deeds will remain hidden. 18 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say: Lo! read my book: 19 Surely I knew that I should have to meet my reckoning. 20 He is therefore in the desired serenity. 21 In a Garden lofty. 22 with clusters of fruit within easy reach. 23 [They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past." 24 And he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me! 25 And I had not known what my account was: 26 "Ah! Would that (Death) had made an end of me! 27 My wealth has been of no use to me. 28 Gone from me is my authority." 29 Lay hold of him and chain him; 30 "And burn ye him in the Blazing Fire. 31 Then, in a chain whereof the length is seventy Cubits, bind him. 32 "This was he that would not believe in Allah Most High. 33 “And did not urge to feed the needy.” 34 On this day, they will have no friends 35 Nor food other than suppuration (filth) 36 None will eat except the Khati'un (sinners, disbelievers, polytheists, etc.). 37
